This is the eighth in a series of pieces done from old photographs my mother took of the now extinct amusement park, Idora Park in Youngstown, Ohio. Idora Park lives in the memories of many people as it flourished from the early 1900s until the wooden roller coasters were outdated by the advent of computerized rides. Many well known music groups performed there, too.

Libby Ramage infuses a playful and whimsical mood into her works. In fact, she credits the children she works with for greatly influencing her aesthetic. She often uses children’s abandoned work in her collages. Libby currently lives in New Jersey and finds inspiration in the work of Rauschenberg. She believes collectors should buy from the heart.
This spring has been full of good surprises. My entry in the Mercer County exhibit was purchased by the Mercer County Cultural Comission and my submission to the Trenton Museum's Ellarslie Open won best in show for drawing!
Libby..I am really excited to have located you online through your art! I always liked your art back at SBS, especially our square yearbook. I hope you answer, so much to catch up on..." Newton"
Dear Nancy, I don't think you got my reply from my ipad? Anyway, thank you for writing and your kind words. I am so happy you like my art. I have been using my younger son's 7th grad Algebra homework for several years,(he's 24 now!). Memories of his struggles with homework are still vivid. By all means send me an image of your daughter's note. Enjoy! libby
Dear Libby -- This quirky and clever dog is adorable! I and everyone who sees it loves it! Thank you so much. I have an early note from my daughter on notebook paper which I have been wondering how to display. Maybe I could send you a pic of it and you could do some other creation on commission? Hope so! All the best, Nancy
