Giardino Inglese
About this artwork
This painting represents an English landscape, a stone bridge in a park, states artist Simone Giaiacopi. Simone's work touches on romantic art made with a contemporary technique. The bridge is in black and white, as in a photo and the river has a light blue oil veil. The vegetation is made with common BIC pens, which have a very limited range of color. Each nuance is therefore the result of a meticulous work of mixing colors and strokes. If one sees it up close, the illusion of a mimetic reproduction vanishes.
