Another city I traveled to in 2017 that inspired my thoughts on this painting. Frankfurt seemed a very complexed city to me. But I recall lots of graffiti on buildings and on subway lines. Beautiful works by the virtually unknown.

Getting to Know Jeffrey

Jeffrey Tover is an abstract artist based in the Bay Area who creates paintings that are colorful, multilayered, and gestural. The haphazardness of the marks in his compositions engage the viewer’s eye as it moves through every inch of the canvas. His work is greatly influenced by expressionist painters Cy Twombly, Joan Mitchell and Willem de Kooning, and shares similar gestural qualities to their work. Through his art, Jeffrey strives to achieve uniqueness in each painting; every piece takes on its own individual persona and influences his viewers in different ways.
