I was inspired to create this piece looking into the branches of a dormant tree seeking some healing and peace of mind from the fractured lives we live. All works from the SPLINTERED WISDOM series are created on paper mounted wood panels artfully painted and splashed with pure watercolors. The rich texture of the trees are created with collaged bits of images of bark and litter I clean up off scenic highways in California, a gentle reminder that if we do not stop trashing the planet, trees will not grow from our garbage in the future.
