Every year I create handmade paper, which I use to create my final pieces. This piece immediately came together when I laid it out, as if flying off the paper independent of my construction. This is a mixed media piece, made of acrylic, pastels, and collage. There are pieces of silk in the paper. Additionally, you may see a map of Los Angeles, CA, a page from an old dictionary, bits of potato bag, and feathers. This piece is on heavyweight paper and will need a frame for display.
