This diptych is from my Summer Camp series and features hand folded paper boats as well as an abstract river boathouse environment.  It helps us reminisce of our childhood camp experiences with canoes, river floats and lazy sunny days. The top panel is 14x34 and the bottom panel 34x34 inches. The artwork is made with oil, acrylic, collage, and pencil on cradled panel and has brown wood sides.  It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Leslie

Leslie grew up in the desert and all the while lusted after the ocean. Her work is strongly influenced by her obsession with water and love of swimming. Nautical and aquatic motifs dominate her various series. To create her compositions, Leslie sources vintage photographs from libraries and museum stock collections to collage into her art. Her combination of photography and painting is intended to represent memories and emotions, respectively. Leslie brings together a wry humor, childlike joy, and an undertone of feminism to remind of us times past and offer us a roadmap for the future. Now a resident of San Francisco, Leslie is surrounded by water in her life and work.
