Part of artist Linda Klein's Just Breathe series, created with her own unique process for distinctly layering watercolors to build texture, depth, and dimension. The piece maintains her quest to give new life to litter and junk mail, using these collaged elements to define the composition. Linda says this painting was particularly inspired by the William Allingham quote, "Now autumn's fire burns slowly along the woods and day by day the dead leaves fall and melt."
This piece is a diptych, meaning it is composed of two separate panels. The top panel measures 20"H x 30"W and the bottom 45"H x 30"W.

Linda Klein is an eco-conscious mixed media artist from California. She applies her passion for the environment to her work. “Many of my collaged tree pieces are created with bits of litter that I clean up off of scenic highways,” Linda says. “Each painting contributes to cleaning up our planet and turns ‘trash into trees.’” By repurposing litter as collage material, Linda dutifully reminds her viewers that recycling is key to a thriving future. The artist lives in Marin County, where she feels grateful to have inherited her mother-in-law’s large art studio that is always filled with light.
