This piece is a part of my series of chiefs on horseback.  They have evolved into very intense colorful depictions of classic figures doing classic things.  This chief is all covered up with color and so is his horse.  The stars in the sky are mirrored gold metallic spray.  This piece is on a deep cradled canvas with 2.5" depth and the sides are painted black with a heavy duty wire on the back.

Getting to Know Scott

Scott works out of a 1947 Chevrolet school bus that is parked permanently in his Texas backyard. His highly expressionistic, figurative work is reminiscent of contemporary street art, largely due to the inclusion of spray paint in his arsenal of media. Scott is inspired by images he comes across in books or in daily life. His bold statement pieces demonstrate artful yet fanciful interpretations of world cultures. Each painting, through its dynamic layers of color and metallics, presents a story that awaits the imaginative viewer.
