Drew McSherry
Salinas, California

Drew McSherry finds inspiration in the paranormal and the darker parts of life. His images contain a sense of the macabre and oftentimes feel fantastical. He currently lives in California and has been influenced by artists like Eugéne Carriére and Odilon Redon. Fun fact: when he’s not painting, he is working on a series of children’s books.

This is a wonderful piece. Mr. McSherry has captured both quiet and mystery in a timeless setting. His obvious knowledge of classic art and his amazing technique create powerful images, seemingly effortlessly, with sensitivity to the play of light that establishes our perceptions and effects mood. This is one of three works that I have and each of them exhibits both the skill of Mr. McSherry and the artistry that is uniquely his.

I love this piece more than I can say! The texture and mood is exquisite (in person) than can be shown online. I will cherish this work until my dying day and pass it down as an heirloom in my family. I'm taking it to the gallery to have it framed today and when that is complete I'll post a picture of it on Much thanks for your talent and vision, Drew! _K. King_ :)

Comments About This Piece

A one eyed cat that a friend of mine owned inspired this drawing. His remaining eye was piercing whenever he directed his gaze at me. This piece is on heavyweight paper and will need a frame for display.

Paper is a very common surface for all types of artwork, including photography, printmaking, drawing and painting. Art paper varies in thickness and color. Read the notes section to learn more about the paper used to create this artwork. If not noted as framed, most paper artwork will require framing.

A one-of-a-kind artwork is a unique piece handmade by the artist. There is only one in existence. The work may be part of a series, however, the piece itself is unlike any other. This piece is available exclusively at UGallery.
