I recently stopped in the middle of a street in Queens and found myself inspired in the most unlikely of places. The surprising beauty of the urban landscape swept around me. Overhead, a giant bridge covered me like some protective being. Looking ahead, an incredible assortment of towers, roads, buildings and cars assembled into amazing shapes and colors. So much energy. Each element had a life of its own in addition to being a piece of a dynamic puzzle. In this painting, I expressed the enormous energy in the scene with multiple, highly textured layers of paint. Subtle color changes can be glimpsed in the layers of paint. I used both brushes and a palette knife to create this work which features a high-gloss finish.

The piece is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished black edges. It comes ready to hang.
