About this artwork

It's 6 AM and this little crab netting boat is ready for another day of sunshine, warm breezes, calm seas and lots of stone crab claws, says Fernando. Part of his signature series of nautical scenes capturing the watercraft, wildlife and landscape of his native Florida. He regularly travels, making sketches, taking notes and shooting photographs to later reference in his studio. The result is detailed, intimate paintings that radiate the stunning light and tropical breezes of the Sunshine State.
