This piece is the first in Pat's new Moon series. The paintings explore the wonder of the moon in its ever changing aspects. The full moon that occurs close to the autumnal equinox is called the Hunter's Moon, says Pat. It has a bright presence that illuminates the sky long into the fall night. The muted colors in this painting reflect the time of year when everything seems to go to sleep. Soon winter will arrive.
