This abstracted landscape is made up of my favorite colors. The green-blue sky drips down the red and yellow hills, combining into different textures. The tiny house appears dwarfed by the landscape, but seems to stand proud on the edge of that big cliff. The red and yellow contrast nicely with the white of the houses and teal color of the sky. This painting is on 3/4" gallery wrapped canvas. The sides are painted black and the work comes ready to hang. The artwork has been given two coats of semi-gloss varnish to protect it and bring out the vibrant colors.

Getting to Know Laura

It's the messy things in life that attract Laura Carter. In a literal sense, she enjoys making a mess with paint by using her hands and fingers in each work. She finds that most of her best work springs from difficult times. Her current work explores a range of emotions and facial expressions through portraits. In the end, she hopes that her art will look and feel like an emotional story or journey.
