Acrylic painting on Stretched canvas

Signed on front and back

24 " h x 48 " w x 1.5 " d |4 lbs. 6 oz.

A winter scene of endangered whooping cranes. They migrate from summer nesting sites in Canada and the northern American Midwest to the Gulf Coast every year. Nearly hunted to extinction in the early 20th century, they were brought back from the brink by dedicated scientists and conservationists. This portrait is dedicated to the beauty of the cranes, and the determination that such beauty not be lost from the world.

The painting is on gallery wrapped canvas with finished black edges. It comes ready to hang.

Carole Moore

San Francisco, California

Carole Moore works as a massage therapist and finds a lot of inspiration in her various clients. Art is something she needs to do - she feels irritated when she goes without painting for too long. Oftentimes, she sits on her feet while painting and does not notice they are asleep until she tries to get up. She enjoys spending time with her family, tending her garden and rock climbing. Carole currently lives in California, but was an exchange student in Mexico and Japan and was highly influenced by both cultures.

I really like this piece, I too work mostly with acrylics and have a lot to learn.
