This is an original painting from my GeoHorizon series. A series of minimal acrylic abstract landscapes inspired by soil horizons. Artwork is protected with a satin finish that gives it a waxy look resembling encaustic. It is hand signed by me, the artist, on the front. And my signature, date, and title are written on the back of the painting. The painting continues on the sides and it arrives wired and ready to hang.

Getting to Know Lisa

Lisa Carney draws her inspiration from the earth’s layers and the history they hold. The drips, splashes, scrapes and scratches in her art happen spontaneously and come together to create a cohesive whole. She began to craft a more organic feel in her works after noticing the texture in her works resembled plant roots. She currently lives in Canada and admires artists like Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman.
