I often relax sitting by my studio window and watching the clouds. It is a form of meditation which often results in an idea for a painting. I think Magritte also must have enjoyed looking at clouds because he used them so often in his paintings. This painting pays homage to Magritte and the package acts as a window to view the clouds.

This piece is on heavyweight paper and will need a frame for display.

Getting to Know Tom

Thomas Miller turns his canvas into a time machine, bridging past and present. Inspired by still life and portrait paintings of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, Thomas mixes in touches of Modern Art. As time and technology march forward, Thomas sees art as the enduring expression of our shared human experience. Ever the history buff, Thomas enjoys referencing the great artists in his paintings - reinventing classic pieces by Vermeer or Ingres. Fun fact: Thomas spent 15 years traveling the world with the Mermaid Theatre as a designer and performer.
