About this artwork

Catherine developed a soft, warm background to highlight these delicate and papery seed casings. The silvery, translucent lunaria dance around the stunning orange lanterns, complementing each other and nicely contrasting the lacquered black vase. I wanted to bring beauty and excitement to the wintery landscape, says Catherine.
