This modern abstract landscape painting was created in earthy shades of yellow ochre, gray-blue, black and tan. It is highly textured using a spatula to spread and scrape layers upon layers of acrylic paint. I gave the artwork two coats of satin varnish to protect it from UV rays and dust. It is hand signed by me on the front. And my signature, date, and title are written on the back of the painting. It arrives wired and ready to hang.

Getting to Know Lisa

Lisa Carney draws her inspiration from the earth’s layers and the history they hold. The drips, splashes, scrapes and scratches in her art happen spontaneously and come together to create a cohesive whole. She began to craft a more organic feel in her works after noticing the texture in her works resembled plant roots. She currently lives in Canada and admires artists like Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman.
