A radiant, energetic display of summer wildflowers represented in sweeping abstract brushwork. Artist Allan P. Friedlander says the movement in the piece is a result of studying the different ways flowers move in the wind. "The colors of the garden were translated to the colors of the flowers themselves, like the yellow and the greens," Allan explains.

At first glance of Allan P Friedlander's work, one can see the free, painterly influence of artists such as Monet and van Gogh. However, he puts his own twist on the nature-themed scenes he creates, using highly choreographed color palettes and blurring the lines between impressionism and abstraction. For his most recent series, he traveled across the English countryside looking to capture the beauty and vibrance of the landscape. The resulting work flows with energy and the discovery of a grand road trip.
