"Toby the Bassett Hound likes to roam for hours and at times for miles," shares artist Lesli DeVito. "He is a master of escape but always comes home." Part of Lesli's Rainbow Dogs series, Lesli simply plays with color and her compositions take a life on their own. She goes with the flow and finishes with this adorable portrait. “I never know how they would end up or what colors I’d use until I start."

Lesli Devito can't quite remember when she started painting, just that she's been doing it for quite a while now. With no formal training, Lesli took her own path and experimented with different types of paint. Eventually, she settled on something unconventional: acrylic house paint. She hopes that her works will "take people to their happy place." Lesli also created a blog called My Old Country House in which she writes about her life, art and other adventures.
