Loosely rendered architectural forms overlaid with gestural painting. Deep red, purple, orange and light blue. Reminiscent of modern southwestern abstraction. Yamilet says of this painting, "The world is a beautiful temple, where all mankind fit." One of the first in Yamilet's series of spiritual abstractions.
Yamilet Sempe is a French-American artist who works in a boldly graphic abstract style visibly influenced by modernist aesthetics. She describes her color palette as being a reflection of her positive energy. Yamilet loves being in nature, finding inspiration in the sea near her Florida home. The subtropical weather and the brightness of the sun guides her choice to use primarily warm colors. Yamilet is also influenced by painter Hilma af Klint and the architecture of Paris.
