A young lady walks in the rain, giving a sidelong glance as she passes. Krzysztof used a red monochromatic palette, which lends the piece both a warm and soulful feeling. The woman's expression and the weather hint at loneliness, yet one may also feel a certain lighthearted connection in the moment - making eye contact with a stranger as you quickly pass on the street.
Krzysztof Iwin is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. His body of work is largely figurative with elements of surrealism. Showing frozen fragments of a reality that does not exist, Krzysztof attempts to capture the menacing, sometimes macabre beauty of the search for meaning.
