Drew McSherry finds inspiration in the paranormal and the darker parts of life. His images contain a sense of the macabre and oftentimes feel fantastical. He currently lives in California and has been influenced by artists like Eugéne Carriére and Odilon Redon. Fun fact: when he’s not painting, he is working on a series of children’s books.
Drew McSherry is a consummate artist who tells a brilliant story with every piece. I love his work.
Best buy ever. Although FEDEX should not have stepped on package.
This is a wonderful piece. Mr. McSherry has captured both quiet and mystery in a timeless setting. His obvious knowledge of classic art and his amazing technique create powerful images, seemingly effortlessly, with sensitivity to the play of light that establishes our perceptions and effects mood. This is one of three works that I have and each of them exhibits both the skill of Mr. McSherry and the artistry that is uniquely his.
Thank you K. King your words give me inspiration and I am glad I was able to make you happy with my work.
I love this piece more than I can say! The texture and mood is exquisite (in person) than can be shown online. I will cherish this work until my dying day and pass it down as an heirloom in my family. I'm taking it to the gallery to have it framed today and when that is complete I'll post a picture of it on ugallery.com. Much thanks for your talent and vision, Drew! _K. King_ :)
I find your charcoals quite impressive, somewhat mysterious and so very well done. Great work indeed! :)
