Slawomir Milewski is a London-based Polish artist working in a series of expressionist portraits. His process embodies a certain freshness and vitality, and he aims to finish each work in one session without sketching in advance. “I love to keep freshness in the artwork... I never sketch before I put the brush into the paint, when I start to paint, the rest happens itself,” he explains. Slawomir works from his home in North Central London close to Hampstead, where he particularly enjoys painting from live models. In addition to creating artworks on canvas, he is an award-winning filmmaker, having earned over a dozen awards for his experimental short films including “Best International Experimental Short Film” from London International Motion Picture Awards. He is very involved in the physical fitness industry as well and generally loves life in all its aspects.
