Eight sheep of all different colors stand in a circle, each character looking at another in the group. Part of Lesli DeVito's long running series of sheep, pairing these gentle animals with clever titles to represent human thoughts and groups. Of this painting, Lesli says, "If you have ever taken part in a book club, you know that even with the most engaging novel, the conversation can be sidetracked by one good story, one good conversation or one good friend."

Getting to Know Lesli

Lesli Devito can't quite remember when she started painting, just that she's been doing it for quite a while now. With no formal training, Lesli took her own path and experimented with different types of paint. Eventually, she settled on something unconventional: acrylic house paint. She hopes that her works will "take people to their happy place." Lesli also created a blog called My Old Country House in which she writes about her life, art and other adventures.
