I love seeing repetitive design patterns used in different ways. One of my favorites is the saw tooth that is used all around the world in textiles and in architecture, so I added it to right side of this painting.

The piece is on a gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Laura

Laura Robinson’s colorful, modernist compositions are inspired by her worldly travels. The bright palette seen in her current work is an homage to her time living in South America, and specifically her voyage back to her native Florida via the Caribbean. Her focus on architectural motifs draws from her experience living in Miami and the distinctive art deco cityscape of South Beach. Each work from Laura’s oeuvre is an eclectic compilation of the people and landscapes she’s encountered, and the resulting personal stories she’s accumulated.
