Krzysztof Iwin depicts the Greek myth of Sisyphus in his signature surreal style. Krzysztof explains, "Sisyphus performs endless, deadly hard work. He must roll a boulder-skull onto a huge mountain that has no end, against the laws of physics. Meanwhile, some creature gives him a mirror so he can understand who he is and what his purpose in life is."
Krzysztof Iwin is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. His body of work is largely figurative with elements of surrealism. Showing frozen fragments of a reality that does not exist, Krzysztof attempts to capture the menacing, sometimes macabre beauty of the search for meaning.
