I remember being a kid in the 70's and my aunt, who was 13 years younger than my mom would come visit us. She was a teenager and so cool, and we would beg her to drive us around and let us listen to the radio. Of course, she loved the opportunity to get out of the house, and happily complied. This song, by Ricky Nelson, was a favorite, and we peppered her with questions - "What is a garden party?" and "Can we have one?" Usually her answer was, "You guys want ice cream?"

Getting to Know Lesli

Lesli Devito can’t quite remember when she started painting, just that she’s been doing it for quite a while now. With no formal training, Lesli took her own path and experimented with different types of paint. Eventually, she settled on something unconventional: acrylic house paint. She hopes that her works will “take people to their happy place.” Lesli also created a blog called My Old Country House in which she writes about her life, art and other adventures.
