About this artwork

Two sailboats rest in Sarasota Bay on a warm summer afternoon. The water ripples in impressionist pinks and red against the distant green shore. Part of Fernando's signature series of nautical scenes capturing the watercraft, wildlife and landscape of his native Florida. He regularly travels, making sketches, taking notes and shooting photographs to later reference in his studio. The result is detailed, intimate paintings that radiate the stunning light and tropical breezes of the Sunshine State.
