On Artist Jill Morton's summer vacation to Cape Cod, she came upon the deepest blue of ocean she has ever seen and was inspired to make this piece. "The light on the Cape is like no other and one is always aware of the tides, the sun and the color of water," says Jill. There is an intrinsic connection to nature which she is successfully able to translate into painting.

Jill Morton

Norwalk, Connecticut

Artist Jill Morton breathes intense emotions into her paintings, she interprets her strokes both with intention and abandon to create glowing abstract pieces. "What comes out is very raw and honest—and is a response to the energy and beauty I feel when I am observing nature," says Jill. She took art classes and traveled in pursuit of it, eventually landing in an art school in New York.  A lifelong journey with art has helped her master connecting to her creative pulse to become the abstract artist she is meant to be. Her work always maintains a vigorous and spirited quality, prevailing in her goal to evoke wonder in the viewer. She shares her charming 300 square feet studio with a collective of 36 artists and musicians in a refurbished corset factory in Bridgeport, CT.
