"The painting shows a robot who repentantly apologizes to the girl-owner," explains Krzysztof. The little machine looks up at the girl with his life-like eyes, an expression of deep remorse. He holds her tight, and she returns the embrace in seeming forgiveness. Part of Krzysztof's recent body of work, playfully crossing the lines of children's fairytales and surrealism.
Krzysztof Iwin is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. His body of work is largely figurative with elements of surrealism. Showing frozen fragments of a reality that does not exist, Krzysztof attempts to capture the menacing, sometimes macabre beauty of the search for meaning.
