This piece is a subtle interpretation of the mood one may be in on a Sunday afternoon perhaps - relaxed and being in the moment. To observe one's self in a contented state of mind is a delight, and we don't often take the time to experience that feeling.

Getting to Know Peg

Peg Belcastro paints non-objective expressionist pieces using vivid colors and energetic lines. She is inspired by the lush forests and valleys that surround her home in rural Pennsylvania, as well as by the vibrant Alaskan wilderness where she paints every summer. Working intuitively as she paints, she responds to each gestural brushstroke with the next one, allowing every painting to follow its own path to completion. Peg enjoys the elements of surprise in her art, and she hopes that her work will be appreciated for the process as well as for the finished piece.
