Sometimes we need to slow down, look up and reflect. This was inspired by those moments I take to stop and reflect in wonder on God's creation. I often do that by looking up in the sky- during the day and night. Those quiet moments of reflection are needed in our busy culture.
The background of this piece was built up over time using several layers of paint applied by palette knife. Washes are then applied and areas of paint are scraped off. In the final version, drips were left to illicit the image of a healing rain. This painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.
