I have been painting houses for some time but included very few trees with them. I came across a book on David Hockney with many images of his digital paintings in which he used trees extensively. This made me want to include trees and see how it affects my composition. I used acrylic and oil sticks on canvas to create this image. This work is on gallery-wrapped canvas with the sides painted black. "Red Roof and Light Blue Car" is varnished, wired and ready to hang.

Hailing from Nepal, Yuvak Taladhar now works in his studio just north of San Francisco. Not limited to a specific style or aesthetic, his process starts by taking a rough idea and then letting his sub-conscious run wild.
