This piece was inspired by that moment you realize it's time to let go and leave a place you have been resting a little too long. Time to fly and see what's ahead. The background is layered with a palette knife technique in a robin's egg blue. I have been drawn to these teetering piles of rocks in my work recently, created with various shades of gray. They make me think about what is just about to happen, what lies ahead.

The sides of this gallery wrapped canvas are white, and it has been coated with a satin acrylic varnish to protect it from UV rays. It comes wired and ready to hang.
