In this painting, Krzysztof depicts the Bible story of the conviction of Jesus. Here, we see the figure of Christ blindly handed to the angry judicial body. Jesus's soft and small features sharply contrasted against the sharp teeth and pointed fingers of the court. The crown of thorns depicted as stylized nails, with warm light shining down on his head. A dramatic scene rendered in an emotionally charged composition.
Krzysztof Iwin is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. His body of work is largely figurative with elements of surrealism. Showing frozen fragments of a reality that does not exist, Krzysztof attempts to capture the menacing, sometimes macabre beauty of the search for meaning.
