About this artwork

Artist Janet Dyer created this impressionist view of the Provence countryside from memory, one of her favorite locations in France. The dirt path leads the eye down rows of summer vines and to the rolling hills in the distance. Janet focused on the varied shades of green to build depth and evoke detail in this painterly image.
