Influenced by my many trips to Mexico, this piece was inspired by the flores de papel (paper flowers) used in celebrations and fiestas throughout the country. The painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with black edges. It comes ready to hang, and can be displayed horizontally or vertically.

Getting to Know DL

DL Watson creates semi-abstract paintings with floral and botanical references. Splitting her time between Florida and Oregon, she finds inspiration in the patterns that repeat themselves throughout the natural world. While her paintings are often grounded in her own childhood memories and past experiences, they evoke a beauty that is universal in their natural subject matter. She creates interest and intrigue through the color and movement that she uses to balance her composition.
