Artwork

In the Province of Ragusa, Sicily, Italy, stands The Duomo of San Giorgio. The cathedral stands under the Sicilian sky dreaming of the soft colors that so welcomed my a soul. Blue olive trees shade the hillside for birds and butterflies. The majestic limestone walls shelter those walking the cobblestone streets of mercy. I cannot say what miracles have come and gone, but I will always remember that lovely Sunday morning in Modica, when the city sang to me a sweet song of Italian love.

Seth Couture

El Dorado Hills, California

Seth’s life and art career are anything but normal. As a teenager, he left an abusive home and put himself through high school. After graduation, he made his way to California, where the noted painter Tom X took him under his wing. Then, in 2004, Seth put down his brushes for almost six years to focus on a biotech career. It wasn’t until he reunited with his grandmother after nearly 20 years apart that he considered painting full-time. She was a recognized artist and continuously encouraged him to paint. When she passed away just three years after they reunited, Seth decided to pursue his dream. He moved north and built an art studio. Today, he is one of UGallery’s top creators.

This is such a gorgeous painting. The more muted tones toward the top evoke the city's morning mist, and the light use of the impasto technique in the wiring gives the painting an incredible amount of dimension. Thanks, Seth!

Beautiful work! Looking South on Green and Kearny...I can't stop looking at it. I gives me the feeling I had coming into a city in my youth.

Hi Seth- "Lombard St. in Winter Gray" arrived quickly and it was all that I hoped for. And thank you for the kind note you sent with it. The painting brought back fond memories of my days living in San Francisco and I love you technique and style. Cheers, Frank

I purchased the "Evening View From Bernal Heights Tower, San Francisco" piece and could not be more pleased. As I was looking for pieces to purchase, I kept coming back to this one. It is as beautiful in person as it is online. I was extremely impressed with the care that went into shipping.

Impressive play with light and color that creates a unique realism. As I study the painting, the streets actually look as though I could reach out and if I touched the painting it would be wet with water. An excellent interpretation of a streetscape. And very impressive talent for bringing light to life that is actually so illuminating you almost wonder if the painting isn't really plugged into the wall.

We are now the fortunate owners of your work "Anastasia's Tutu" and it is such a thrill to be able to admire and contemplate this beautiful and emotive painting. You are such a gifted and expressive artist (you truly "have it"). Wish you all good things.
