An aerial view of Manhattan city buildings with their distinctive water tanks. I strived to capture the setting and let the pictorial tell a story about this crowded city without showing any people. The color palette is somber. The graphic shapes further convey a feeling of time, place and individuality. My work can be understood on many levels, from the simple interplay of shape and color to the narrative of the pictorial story.

Getting to Know Toni

Toni Silber-Delerive uses her experience as a graphic designer to create her paintings. She captures day to day suburban scenes from all over the world with paint, flattening the picture plane and reducing details to strong graphic images.
