Krzysztof painted this piece in reference to the pandemic of the Covid-19 virus. He says the girl in the mask shares her meal with a fox that came out of the forest, emboldened by the absence of people. The painting carries an undertone of friendship and humanity reconnecting with nature.
Krzysztof Iwin is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. His body of work is largely figurative with elements of surrealism. Showing frozen fragments of a reality that does not exist, Krzysztof attempts to capture the menacing, sometimes macabre beauty of the search for meaning.
