A group of sailboats moored in the moonlight, based on a scene Kip witnessed in South Carolina. The moon rises in the distance, offering a reflection on the water that draws the eye back into the scene. The near monochromatic palette lends the work a serene, peaceful tone. Part of Kip's ongoing series of waterscapes. He captures ponds, lakes and open waters at all times of the day, playing up the changing color palette and lighting conditions. Kip focuses less on specific places than the overall feeling of the scene.

I feel happy and peaceful when I look at this painting on our wall. It is in the eating area of our kitchen where it adds beautiful vibrant color to the room. A wonderful addition to one of the places in which we spend most of our time in our home! Thank you!- EG
I am so happy with this lovely new painting -- it is stunning in my house. It is so interesting and beautiful. I love the composition of the trees, the kinked road, the quirky roof in the background. The colors are perfect! A very cool piece of art and I am enjoying it immensely!- S Robertson
