Depictions of hands are a reoccurring theme in my work. Hands are a very spiritual symbol to me. They can be beautiful and elegant, but also very useful tools and can accomplish so many things. These hands in "Gratitude" are covered with flowers. They are gardening hands, grateful for the flowers that were planted. This piece is on gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Kira

Kira Yustak paints fantastical scenes that come from her childhood memories, dreams, and the natural world. Each piece feels like part of a larger narrative of an alternative reality, rendered in a style she describes as comic realism. She feels art must trigger something inside the viewer’s soul.Kira currently lives in New Jersey and finds inspiration in the work of Lowbrow, Folk, and Surrealist artists.
