My inspiration for this painting came from my favorite intersection in Manhattan - 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue.  There is always a constant flow of people coming out of the surrounding buildings, the subway, and the park. And I've always been intrigued by NYC daredevil bicyclists riding in the middle of the road.  From every direction, there is energy flowing. This is a dynamic and textural painting on a gallery wrapped canvas, finished on all four sides with a continuation of the painting. It comes lightly varnished and ready to hang.

Getting to Know Piero

Piero Manrique paints artworks with a distinct luminescence and bright color palette. He finds inspiration in change, evolution, and discovery. “My art is like nature, it never repeats, it keeps changing and evolving.” In his current series, Piero works mainly with his fingers and special pouring techniques. “The beauty of many of these paintings is how they keep changing as they dry.” He currently lives in Mamaroneck, New York. Piero always tells his clients to feel the painting and let it tell the story.
