This painting is a capture of our stormy January Pacific Ocean. The sea state reminded me of one of our coastal trips sailing our 40 foot sailboat from Half Moon Bay back up to San Francisco in choppy seas. I love watching the waves after a storm, as there's so much powerful energy and motion in them. In this particular scene, there's just a suggestion of glowing sun in the clouds behind the settling swells. I also employed some metallic gold paint in the sky.

This piece is on a gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. The work comes varnished and ready to hang.
