I have a couple of fish tanks at home and I enjoy watching them. The way fish swim is so soothing. This painting is of a male betta fish I have. He is called a "halfmoon" variety and his flowing fins are iridescent green and blue, almost peacock colors. He is a magnificent little fish!

This piece is on a gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. The work comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Kira

Kira Yustak paints fantastical scenes that come from her childhood memories, dreams, and the natural world. Each piece feels like part of a larger narrative of an alternative reality, rendered in a style she describes as comic realism. She feels art must trigger something inside the viewer’s soul.Kira currently lives in New Jersey and finds inspiration in the work of Lowbrow, Folk, and Surrealist artists.
