The inspiration for "Buffalo" came from watching distant storms in open landscapes with big skies. I love the open desert landscape of the south west. This piece is on gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Kelly

Kelly Neidig’s abstract landscapes begin with memories of places she has traveled. From Mongolia to Iceland, the paintings capture serene and astonishing views that she can’t erase from her mind. The soft atmosphere and cool colors of her work project something serene and Zen-like. It doesn’t really matter where it is, we would like to go there! Kelly begins each piece with a loose water wash, and then builds up layers of color until she is satisfied with the result. Her work has been featured on several TV shows, including Portlandia and Graceland.
