Artist Lesli DeVito paints a charming and playful pet portrait in soft pastel colors. She displays Bean the beagle, a notorious escape artist always plotting for escapades. Part of her Rainbow Dogs series in honor of pride month. Lesli simply plays with color and her compositions take a life on their own. “I never know how they would end up or what colors I’d use until I start,” says Lesli. She goes with the flow and finishes with this charming and playful portrait.

Lesli Devito can't quite remember when she started painting, just that she's been doing it for quite a while now. With no formal training, Lesli took her own path and experimented with different types of paint. Eventually, she settled on something unconventional: acrylic house paint. She hopes that her works will "take people to their happy place." Lesli also created a blog called My Old Country House in which she writes about her life, art and other adventures.
