"Be Still" is part of a series of work of birds in the moonlight. This sparrow pauses to be still and reflect, taking in the moonlight. "I was inspired by the feeling of hope that can come in the midst of even the darkest circumstances," says Mel Kistner. "I find I often need to be still and take time in my times of worry or fear to focus on the hope that God can bring in the night." The background has a brushwork texture.
