In my 20's and 30's I worked as an actress. Well, I mostly worked as a waitress... but I WAS an actress. I loved doing comedy and improvisation... but the one thing that never quite clicked was Shakespeare. The words always felt strange and awkward coming out of my mouth. But now, if I were to return to acting, I would love to do Shakespeare. Maybe with age I feel like I understand his words more.

Getting to Know Lesli

Lesli Devito can’t quite remember when she started painting, just that she’s been doing it for quite a while now. With no formal training, Lesli took her own path and experimented with different types of paint. Eventually, she settled on something unconventional: acrylic house paint. She hopes that her works will “take people to their happy place.” Lesli also created a blog called My Old Country House in which she writes about her life, art and other adventures.
